From the first time I heard it, I thought of this song (and a number of others on triology) as being about continuing the band itself. There are a couple of bits about how characters are written in Japanese: the similarity of 辛 and 幸, and the shape of 愛.

Is that enough then? Mm, not quite
Giving up, can’t quite give up
It’s morning

The words “pain” and “happiness”
Are like brothers, don’t they look the same
I’ll get to know
All different kinds of emotions

The shattered pieces
One of them
Stuck in me
And I don’t know the depth of the wound

Do you hear the voice saying “here we go”?
Those of us left behind have to carry on
Far beyond suffering
What is waiting there, hey,
We’ve got a long, long way to go

Did you know? The word “beloved”
Is the form of someone who cared and then moved on
When you finally later realize
When you are looking back

Time and again
Being cowardly
Pretending to be fine
Lying and so on
I covered myself up

Do you hear the voice saying “here we go”?
Those of us left behind have to carry on
Far beyond sadness
What is waiting there, hey,
We’ve got a long, long way to go

Wait for me a hundred years,
I thought, like in a dream
You, beyond these hands

Do you hear the voice saying “here we go”?
Those of us left behind have to carry on

Is that enough then? Mm, not quite
The new future we’ve been entrusted with is, yes, right now
